Airespace, formerly Black Storm Networks, was a San Jose-based wireless LAN systems company founded in July 2001. The company developed enterprise WLAN controllers, access points, and management software providing secure, centrally-managed wireless networking. Cisco Systems acquired Airespace in March 2005 for $450 million, integrating its technology into Cisco's wireless networking portfolio.
