The Allen Institute for AI (Ai2) is a Seattle-based non-profit AI research institute founded in 2014 by Paul Allen, focused on conducting high-impact AI research and engineering in service of the common good. Ai2 develops open foundational AI models, datasets, and tools including the OLMo language model series and Semantic Scholar academic search.
