Agritech Rize

Rize is a Singapore-based agritech company building end-to-end infrastructure for sustainable, climate-smart rice farming across Southeast Asia. The platform combines affordable farmer financing, AI-driven agronomy, and market access to boost farmer incomes while drastically reducing the environmental footprint of rice production. Rice accounts for up to 33% of Southeast Asia's methane emissions, and Rize addresses this by scaling proven sustainable practices including Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD), Site-Specific Nutrient Management (SSNM), low-pesticide Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) methods, and crop residue management. Rize simplifies farmer management through streamlined onboarding, financing, tailored agronomist support, and efficient input/repayment tracking. Its proprietary technology platform provides localized business intelligence and real-time dashboards for farmer monitoring, sustainability compliance, and data-driven insights at scale. As of its Series B in 2026, Rize has onboarded over 13,700 farmers, achieved coverage across 34,000+ hectares in Vietnam and Indonesia, and reduced more than 30,000 tons of emissions. The company was founded by Dhruv Sawhney and is backed by investors including Temasek and Breakthrough Energy Ventures.
