Afrilens is East Africa's first advanced ophthalmic lens manufacturing facility, built in Nairobi, Kenya in partnership with Schneider Optical technology. The company manufactures locally produced prescription lenses — including progressive, single vision, and specialized solutions — delivering consistent quality and faster turnaround times to opticians and optical centers across Africa. Founded by CEO Vincent Demassiet, Afrilens aims to address the vision care gap affecting millions of Kenyans and Africans by replacing expensive imported lenses with locally manufactured alternatives.
