African Guarantee Fund RSF

The African Guarantee Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises (AGF) is a pan-African specialized guarantee institution established in 2011 with support from the governments of Denmark and Spain and the African Development Bank. AGF contributes to economic development, prosperity, and poverty reduction across Africa by enabling SMEs to access financing through two core activities: guarantee facilities that partially cover risks for SME lenders, and capacity development programs that help financial institutions enhance their SME banking capabilities. AGF has mobilized over USD 6.8 billion in financing, issued USD 2.75 billion in guarantees, and supported the creation of over 629,700 jobs across the continent. Headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, AGF operates across multiple African markets through subsidiaries and regional partnerships.
