Africa Improved Foods (Holding)

Africa Improved Foods (AIF) is a public-private partnership and food manufacturing company based in Kigali, Rwanda, established in December 2016. AIF was founded with investment from DSM, IFC, FMO, CDC, and the Government of Rwanda, with over $65 million invested in Rwanda to date. The company manufactures high-quality, nutrient-rich fortified complementary foods targeting malnutrition in children under five and pregnant or breastfeeding women across East Africa. Its product range includes institutional relief products such as Super Cereal Plus and Shisha Kibondo (for infants and mothers), as well as commercial consumer products including Nootri Toto and Nootri Family. AIF sources raw inputs from a network of 250+ cooperatives and smallholder farmers across East Africa and distributes products in Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and South Sudan. The company feeds over 1.6 million people daily and places strong emphasis on local employment development.
