AeroScout was the global market leader in Unified Asset Visibility solutions, leveraging standard Wi-Fi networks to track and manage the location, status, and utilization of assets, people, and environments across healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, and mining industries. Its products combined active RFID tags, software, and analytics to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and automate business processes. AeroScout was acquired by Stanley Healthcare Solutions, a division of Stanley Black & Decker, in June 2012 for approximately $238.8 million.
