High-speed SerDes ICs for broadband communications
Aeluros was a fabless semiconductor company that designed high-speed mixed-signal integrated circuits for broadband communications infrastructure. The company specialized in SerDes (serializer/deserializer) and CDR (clock and data recovery) ICs targeting 10G and 40G Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and SONET/SDH applications for network equipment manufacturers. Founded in 2000 in Santa Clara, California, Aeluros raised approximately $20M in venture funding and was acquired by Broadcom in 2012 as part of Broadcom's strategy to expand its high-speed networking silicon portfolio.
