Backed by investors including CDC Group (now British International Investment) and IFC, the fund finances residential, retail, office and industrial developments across Kenya, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Mozambique, Zambia and Ghana. Its investments include Garden City, a LEED and Green Star-certified mixed-use development in Nairobi. ARE3 closed well above its original $400 million target and is domiciled in the United Kingdom.
