Actis Africa 3 LP is a large-cap private equity fund managed by Actis LLP with a regional focus on Sub-Saharan and pan-African markets. Raised at approximately $851 million, the fund targets investments in financial services, business and consumer services, and manufacturing sectors across Africa, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, and South Africa. British International Investment (formerly CDC Group) committed $150 million to the fund starting December 2007. Actis Africa 3 has delivered strong risk-adjusted returns, posting an 18.2% net IRR that ranked it among the top-performing emerging markets private equity funds in its vintage year.
