Acclarent, Inc. is a medical device company founded in 2004 by Joshua Makower and John Chang, originally headquartered in Menlo Park, California (later Irvine, California). The company pioneered minimally invasive ENT surgical tools, most notably the Relieva Balloon Sinuplasty system, which received FDA approval in 2005. Acclarent has over 40 FDA-approved devices for treating chronic sinusitis and eustachian tube dysfunction. The company was acquired by Ethicon (Johnson & Johnson) in January 2010 for approximately $785 million, and subsequently acquired by Integra LifeSciences in April 2024 for $275 million.
